My story

Hi, my name is Louie! I am a handsome 8-year-old chihuahua who currently weighs 15 lbs. When I arrived at Critter Cavalry, it was clear that I enjoyed people food. Miss Peggy is strict about treats, and she immediately put me on a weight management diet. I’m happy to say I’ve lost almost 5 lbs, but I still have a little way to go and plan to trim down even further.  I’ve been told I am the perfect dog. Even with several foster siblings around trying to lead me astray, I always choose to behave. I never have accidents in the house because I know that outside is the right place to do my 'business.' I respond to my name and come when I’m called; I don’t pretend I haven’t heard you!  I know where my food is and am always ready when mealtime comes around. I enjoy sitting on the furniture, which is allowed here, and I have my favorite spot. At bedtime, I love snuggling close to Miss Peggy, but I'm also happy to keep my spot warm when she’s not nearby.  If you are looking for a super sweet companion that you can take with you wherever you go, then you’ve found him in me. I love to go out, but I also enjoy hanging out at home. You can leave me loose in the house because remember I behave! I am fully vetted and ready to go.
