My story

Meet Thomas Thomas is a newer arrival to HAP and was brought in by a good samaritan when they found him wandering along a busy highway. He's a young, happy go lucky, 'morkie' (Maltese, Yorkie mix? maybe...best guess lol) mix that will instantly have you falling in love with him. He has the softest, silkiest fur and it billows perfectly when he does his little sashay walk - it's the cutest thing! Thomas has made friends with every single human he meets and he loves to greet you by running right up and either jumping in your lap or standing on his back legs and pawing at you for attention. He's also made friends with several other dogs mostly his size but with slow introductions he's made friends with larger dogs as well. Besides making human and canine friends, Thomas also loves to play with his toys! Some of his favorites are the ones that are probably too big for him but that doesn't seem to phase him at all. He's very well mannered on the leash and he's working on the sit command. Thomas would make an excellent companion for a very special family. Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
