Pogo – Foster or Foster-to-Adopt Opportunity! 🐾💛 Meet Pogo, a sweet and resilient 1-year-old Shepherd/Hound mix who has already overcome so much in her young life. This lovable girl was transferred to us from the Louisa County Animal Shelter after being found as a stray, dragging her front right leg. Our vets believe she was likely hit by a car and left behind, causing severe damage to her radial nerve and leaving the leg completely useless. To give her the best quality of life, Pogo is scheduled for a front right leg amputation on July 16, 2025. Once recovered, she’s expected to adapt beautifully—dogs are incredible at thriving on three legs!
