My story

Meet Barkley – A True Southern Gentleman and Loyal Companion Originally from North Carolina, Barkley is a calm, sweet, and well-mannered boy who’s ready to find his forever home. He’s housebroken, polite, doesn’t chew or jump, and settles easily into home life; whether in a crate or lounging quietly by your feet. Though Barkley is deaf (or mostly deaf), he communicates beautifully through body language and responds well to visual cues and treats. He enjoys his walks, greets people and dogs with a wagging tail, and rides nicely in the car. He’s clearly had loving care and consistent training; he knows to sit for treats and gently lets you know when it’s time to go out or come back in. He enjoys the company of other dogs and plays well with supervision, but he’s not a match for homes with cats. Barkley is truly a special dog: affectionate, gentle, and easy to love. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be part of the family, Barkley is ready to meet you.   All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption.
