Sweet, sensitive Riley is ready to start her next chapter, and she’s dreaming of a calm, loving home where she can truly thrive. At 5.5 years old and just 12 petite pounds, Riley is a quiet soul with the most adorable underbite and a heart full of love to give.Riley is a pro at crate training, happily naps the day away, and doesn’t beg at the table (a rare gem). She’s deeply attached to her creature comforts: soft blankets, warm laps, and quiet afternoons. She’s a chill girl when it comes to activity: a few fetch sessions in a fenced yard, some outdoor potty breaks, and she’s good to go!True to her breed, she comes with the chihuahua alarm system and will verify your identity with a bark and a sniff at your arrival home.She’s still working on leash skills and confidence with new people and dogs, so a patient home is key. She has done very well with the large cat at her foster’s home, but may need more guidance with smaller felines. She also tends to have a bit of the classic ‘huahua sass with other dogs, so a laidback canine companion or even being the sole apple of your eye may suit her best.Ideally, Riley would love an older adopter, with no young children, who’s happy to hang on the couch most of the day—with breaks for mini ball-chasing adventures.Riley is ready to trade chaos for comfort in a home where she can finally relax and be herself. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
