My story

Meet Moby – a handsome, sweet-natured 2 year-old boy who’s looking for a fresh start and a forever home. He came to us as a lost dog, so while we don’t know much about his past, we do know he has a bright and loving spirit that’s impossible to miss. At 59 pounds, Moby is the perfect size for snuggles and strolls. He can be a little excited at first on leash—can you blame him? There’s a whole world to explore! But once he gets going, he settles into a nice rhythm and enjoys the walk. Moby loves treats and is very tuned into his person, which is great for training. He loves to sniff and explore.Moby had such a great time on his Dog’s Day Out with a volunteer! This gentle, snuggly sweetheart enjoyed a long walk filled with sniffing every interesting scent. Back at his new friend’s house, he happily fetched toys, and then settled in for some deep, cozy naps. Moby rode wonderfully in the car and walked beautifully on leash—no pulling at all. He was comfortable and respectful in the home, with no chewing on things or getting into mischief. Moby was housebroken and did not have any accidents during his stay. Plus, his big, goofy smile will brighten anyone’s day. Whether you’re out on an adventure or just relaxing at home, Moby will be right by your side, flashing that irresistible grin.Moby has enjoyed meeting other dogs at the shelter and loves to run around and play chase with his canine pals. He’s shown a playful and friendly demeanor, even interacting politely with small breed dogs. Moby would like to meet any potential doggie roommates in advance—just to make sure everyone gets along and it’s a good match for all. Moby’s experience with kids and cats is unknown, but the adoption team will talk to you about the acclimation process.Come down to BARCS and meet Moby!
