My story

Although Paws Rescue League is primarily a dog rescue, from time to time we do take in cats!   Meet Loki, a handsome ~9 month old neurered male Siamese mix! This blue eyed boy was taken in from a backyard breeder in east TN. He is currently being fostered in CT and is ready to find his furever home!  Loki is a friendly, social cat who enjoys meeting new people. He is currently being fostered with dogs and is fine with cat savvy dogs. We feel he would do best in a home with another young, friendly cat to keep him company and show him the ropes. He has had some litter box confusion in his current foster home, and we think another cat to model appropriate litter box behavior would really help him. Loki is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Apply to meet this sweet kitty today!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
