My story

NOTE: ALINA IS AT THE SAN JOSE ANIMAL SHELTER AND IS AT RISK OF EUTHANASIA. GSRSV HAS NOT MET ALINA. WE ARE LISTING HER FOR ADOPTION ALONG WITH OUR OWN DOGS ON THIS WEBSITE TO GIVE HER MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE. PLEASE SEE END OF THIS PROFILE FOR CONTACT INFO. "Alina" is a beautiful 3-yo spayed female GSD at the City of San Jose Animal Shelter who really deserves a loving home! Poor Alina has been in and out of the shelter since January 2024, and the stress of being there that long is starting to wear on her. Thus, the shelter rescue coordinator has reached out to GSD rescue groups for help in finding Alina a home. Alina is sweet, gentle and sensitive to her surroundings. She is good with kids, having formerly done great with two children, ages 8 & 11 yrs, while in a foster home. (The foster caretaker had to return Alina to the shelter due to unexpected travel.) Alina is good with other dogs She lived harmoniously with a Belgian Malinois in her foster home and does well in small playgroups at the shelter. Don’t know about cats. Alina walks well on leash and is likely housetrained, given that she was in a foster home.
