My story

Meet Suzy! Suzy is a 11-year-old, 16-pound dachshund with a heart as warm as her long little body. She’s the definition of a mellow, easygoing companion—sweet, friendly, and content to just be by your side. This senior sweetheart is a total cuddle bug who adores ear scratches and quietly lounging next to her people. She’s fully house-trained, pee pad trained, doesn’t bark, and walks well on a leash. Suzy gets along with other dogs and is great with kids, adults, and seniors alike. She’s happy to share space and never causes a fuss. While she’s not interested in toys or high-energy play, she’s always up for a treat and knows how to “sit” like a pro. Suzy may be in her golden years, but her gentle presence and loving nature make her a true gem. She’d thrive in a calm home where she can enjoy the simple things in life—like cozy naps, soft beds, and a caring hand nearby.
