Koda 2025

My story

KODA is a cute little long and low short stack of a mixed breed boy. Our best guess on breed mix is chiweenie (dachshund/chihuahua)/pug mix, plus a few more breeds we can't guess at. He is around 4 years old, a perfect age, he's fun and lively but has outgrown puppy shenanigans. He's fully grown at just 15 pounds. Koda is a delightful little dog who loves to play with his toys, fetch and go for walks. When playtime is over, Koda has serious couch potato skills and likes to cuddle up with his people. Koda is dog friendly and indifferent to cats. He can be a little timid in new situations and with new people warms up to kindness. Koda is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet this adorable boy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet little Koda at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.   All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
