My story

t’s always amazing to see how dogs blossom with just a little time and patience. Abby came to us from a rural Kentucky shelter, unsure and nervous of her new surroundings, but now, just a short time later, he foster mom says she’s sweet, charming, and incredibly loving.  Abby is a 10 month old, 53 lb Great Pyrenees mix! She adores people, being petted, and lights up when meeting new dogs and humans in the park. She’s low to medium energy and happiest napping next to you while you work. While Abby’s been adjusting beautifully, she’s still working on one thing: learning to be okay when left alone. She REALLY wants to spend her time with her humans alll the time. She’s currently dealing with separation anxiety and needs a home with someone who’s around most of the time and committed to helping her feel safe and supported! Abby can be a bit bossy with other dogs in certain situations, especially in confined spaces, and likes to announce herself with a bark. She may do best as the only dog, or with a smaller or confident canine friend who can set boundaries without escalating. Abby is a star, she is fully house-trained, great on leash, not reactive, and knows how to “sit” - but mostly she knows how to win hearts. ##2459065##
