My story

Hello there! My name is Ryan. I'm a sweet yet timid beagle boy who was just rescued after spending 10 years living within an extreme cruelty case. Every day, the BFP staff tell me how much they love me but, until recently, I'd never known what it was like to be loved-- so it may take me a little while to believe that I'm finally cared for and safe. Right now, I like to hide a lot, just because I'm so scared. But, once you give me a moment to open up to you, my real personality starts to show. It'll only take you a few minutes to learn that I am a gentle, loving, and affectionate boy who is SO ready to find the home that I've always wished for. I do well with other kind and calm dogs and would thrive in a quiet household with adults only or older kids who understand me. I promise to be the most loving and loyal companion you could ever have if you choose to adopt me! After 9 years, I'm so excited to finally have a family! Could you adopt me and make my dreams come true? 🏡 My Home’s Requirements: Another friendly dog in the home is required. I thrive with a canine companion by my side! I also need a home with a fenced yard- I am still too nervous to be walked on a leash! 📍 My Location: NOWATA, OK Please note: Third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed above! Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter can travel to the animal’s current location for pickup. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ For questions, email the Beagle Freedom Project team at: adopt@bfp.org About Beagle Freedom Project: Beagle Freedom Project is the world’s leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. Learn more about us at: https://bfp.org/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ryan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
