MAYA

My story

Maya is the perfect mix of walking buddy and snuggle partner. She walks beautifully on leash—often heeling without being asked—and greets new people with a happy, calm demeanor. She’s unfazed by squirrels, loves morning walks, and adores car rides (she’s usually snoozing before you’ve even reached your destination).Since arriving to the shelter on 7/16 and going to the foster on 8/2, Maya has shown she’s mostly housebroken, crate trained, and gentle with both big and small dogs (that she lived with in her previous home). She’s a self-proclaimed couch potato whose favorite position is belly-up, and she firmly believes she’s a lap dog. She enjoys sunny spots for lounging, rainy walks for fun, and a full schedule of “important naps” — breakfast nap, afternoon nap, dinner nap, and of course, bedtime. She’s been great with children, friendly with everyone she meets, and is ready to bring her calm, loving energy to a forever home.If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who will keep you company on walks and warm your couch the rest of the day, Maya might just be your girl.
