My story
Meet Rosie, a petite beauty with the softest fur and the sweetest little face. She’s a calm, observant girl who loves to greet people and hang out nearby. Rosie isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she enjoys gentle affection and will happily sit next to you to keep you company. She was originally found outside and still enjoys spending time in a safe outdoor space like a catio, where she can soak up the fresh air and sunshine. Rosie is currently being fostered as part of our “Cat Dorm” program, where she lives alongside young women in a juvenile detention center. While she gets love and care from her foster caregivers, she also provides something incredibly special in return—comfort, calm, and connection. Her presence helps the teens learn empathy, patience, and responsibility, making Rosie’s story one of mutual healing and second chances. She does best in a home with other cats and would love a safe outdoor area like a catio to explore. Rosie isn’t clingy, but she’s always nearby, ready to greet you and share quiet moments. If you’re looking for a lovely companion with a meaningful story and a heart full of gentle affection, Rosie could be the perfect fit. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for cats over six months to seven years is $100, kittens under six months is $150, cats eight years and over are $50 unless specified otherwise.
