My story

Just like the precious stone she is named after, Sapphire radiates loyalty, strength, beauty, and faithfulness. Sapphire came to us with her four puppies from the Rio Grande Valley. Her puppies were all adopted and now she is ready for her turn to be cared for the way she cared for her babies. Sapphire has a heeler personality through and through. She proceeds with healthy caution and warms up quickly. She loves getting pets, treats, and attention. Historically, the Sapphire has been worn to protect against harm and negativity. Sapphire lives up to her name as she is a protective and happy girl. Her herding instincts make her a better fit for older children and she loves to keep her foster dog siblings in line. She has the energy for hikes but doesn't mind chilling on the couch. She does well when left to her own devices in the house and is crate trained. She is mostly potty trained. Has only had a few accidents. She doesn't like going out in the rain but will go with you if you take her. She will benefit from routine and obedience training wouldn't hurt as she gets used to a new home. Sapphire can't wait to finally settle into her new home and become your faithful sidekick. Austin, TX area adoptions only. Children over 5 years. Fenced backyard. If you have a pool, this has to be fenced. Sapphire's adoption fee of $350 includes his vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, dewormer, heartworm/tick tests, preventatives, microchip, and a spay.
