My story

🌟 Meet Indy 🌟 8 Years | Corgi/Chihuahua Mix | 16 lbs Indy’s world changed recently—her beloved owner passed away, and now this quiet little lady is learning how to navigate life without the person she loved most. At 8 years old, this Corgi/Chihuahua mix is the definition of calm. She’s fully housebroken, crate-trained, and ready for “bedtime” every night around 7:30. Her ideal evening includes burrowing under a blanket and sleeping at the foot of your bed. She enjoys long, very slow leash walks—but only if she chooses the direction. Indy’s got that classic old-lady stubbornness that somehow makes her even more endearing. She ignores other dogs completely, coexists peacefully with cats, and would be perfectly happy as your one and only. Right now, Indy isn’t overly cuddly—she may still be grieving and figuring things out—but she loves lap time, butt rubs, and the occasional peanut butter treat. She does best crated during car rides, as she’s still figuring out how to sit in the seat like a pro. Indy would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a fenced yard, as she doesn’t have reliable recall (not even for snacks). She’s not high-maintenance, just looking for someone patient and kind who will give her the time and space to feel safe again. If you have a peaceful home and a soft spot for a gentle soul who’s starting over, Indy might just be the one to fill your heart—and your lap. 🐾 All of our animals are fully vetted which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and microchipped) prior to adoption.
