Meet Olaf Breed: Jindo + Corgi Mix Age: 5 years old Weight: 15kg Neutered Male Color: Light Brown About Olaf Meet Olaf—a charming boy with the body of a corgi, a Jindo’s soulful face, butterfly-shaped ears, and a gentle, perpetual smile. His little legs trot with quiet determination, and his presence is calm, soft, and thoughtful. Though Olaf can be a little shy at first, especially around new people, he warms up within a few days—usually 3 to 7 days—with some tasty treats and gentle patience. Once you’ve earned his trust, he opens his heart wide: he allows cuddles, tummy rubs, and even gentle hugs. He also tolerates being picked up (though he may get a bit tense but never resists). Now, when he sees a harness, he’ll wait at the door, ready for a walk with his person. He is not reactive to unfamiliar dogs and politely greets them but prefers not to engage in rough play. Olaf generally gets along well with dogs of similar or larger size and calm energy. Energetic or pushy dogs can overwhelm him, but even when provoked, he avoids confrontation. He is remarkably patient—at dog parks, he calmly puts up with even the pushiest puppies. Only if overstimulated for too long (over 10 minutes), he may let out a single bark or gently push away with his chin—never aggressive, always measured. Personality Olaf is like a gentle, quiet girl-next-door—sweet, reserved, but full of love once she opens up. He doesn’t seek constant attention but expresses affection subtly and sincerely. Now that he’s experienced life in a home for the first time, he’s showing his full personality—enjoying hugs, nose kisses, and even letting you clean his ears, wipe his paws, or brush his teeth. He does not guard food from humans or other dogs and is incredibly tolerant—even giving up delicious treats like chicken bones or dog chews when asked. He doesn’t bark unnecessarily, handles kennel time well, and calmly rides in the car—he can even jump in and out on his own. He focuses on his human during walks and doesn’t react to passing cats, birds, or dogs. He’s more interested in sniffing than walking in a straight line, often pausing to take in new smells. He’s house-trained and prefers to go potty outdoors. Children & Environment Olaf is gentle with calm, older children but may feel uneasy around young kids who make sudden movements or loud noises. In a home with toddlers, close supervision or separation is advised. He does not startle easily around bikes, cars, or unfamiliar people, though he might pause or calmly redirect if overwhelmed in noisy, crowded areas. Rescue Story Olaf was born in a shelter after his mother was rescued from euthanasia. Sadly, he spent all 5 years of his life waiting—without a single adoption opportunity. In May, he finally had the chance to move to a foster home in preparation for international adoption. Despite having no prior home experience, Olaf adjusted beautifully, showing how much love and potential he has. Ideal Home Olaf would thrive in a peaceful home with adults or older children, and possibly a calm, well-mannered dog sibling. He needs a family that can give him time to settle, offer consistent affection, and enjoy his mellow, loyal companionship. Olaf is incredibly special—a quiet soul who blossoms with trust. Watching him transform in just a few weeks makes us excited to see how much more he’ll shine with a forever family. You can also check out his post on our Facebook or Instagram! ##2463540##
