My story

Say hello to Ruth, a beautiful 6-year-old lady with a sweet face, a calm spirit, and a few extra pounds to love. At 18 lbs, Ruth is on a gentle weight loss journey, and she’s looking for a home that can help her stay on track with healthy meals, light playtime, and lots of encouragement.Ruth isn’t looking for much—just a cozy spot by the window, a little sun on her fur, and a person who appreciates the art of relaxation. She’s the perfect cat for someone who values quiet companionship and a steady presence by their side. Loving, and oh-so-pretty, Ruth is ready to bring a sense of peace and comfort to her forever home.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
