My story

CALLING ALL HUSKY LOVERS! Meet Maverick — a stunning black and white male Husky who’s approximately 1+ years old and weighs in at a fit 54 pounds.Maverick came to us as a transfer from a neighboring city, where he was found as a stray. But don’t let his past fool you — this guy is all heart and husky charm. With his piercing blue eyes and classic good looks, Maverick is sure to turn heads.He’s a typical Husky who loves to run in our fenced-in areas and doesn’t shy away from showing off his vocal skills — yes, he`s a bit of a singer! Maverick has a medium energy level and, for the most part, walks nicely on leash.He’s super affectionate and known to stand on his hind legs just to give a hug. Maverick will thrive in an active home where he can run, play, and be his joyful self.We believe he’s dog friendly, but as always, a meet and greet is required if you have resident pups. His compatibility with cats and children is currently unknown. Maverick keeps his kennel clean at the shelter and is, frankly, a perfect gentleman.Maverick is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can bring him home as a foster while he finishes up his vetting (vaccines, and heartworm testing).
