My story

Hi there! My name is Gippeum—that means joy in Korean—and I’m a 6-month-old Jindo mix boy, weighing just around 5kg. I may be small, but my heart is big and full of love waiting to be shared. I was rescued from a dog meat farm (yes, it’s as scary as it sounds), but I was one of the lucky ones. I was saved along with my mom and sibling, so I’ve never been completely alone. Right now, I still live with my brother, and we bring each other comfort and calm. We’re pretty alike—both sweet, small, and gentle. I’m still just a puppy, so I’m full of curiosity and love for people. I’m at that age where I’m ready to learn all the important things: how to live in a home, how to make human friends, and how to grow into a well-mannered and happy dog. It’s such an exciting time in my life! Because I’ve always had my mom and sibling around, being completely alone in a new place might be a little hard at first. I might feel anxious or lonely when I’m separated, but with time, patience, and gentle support, I know I’ll adjust just fine. What I need most is a kind and responsible family who can be there for me—not just today, but forever. Someone who will help me learn, cheer me on as I grow, and give me all the love I’ve been waiting for.
