ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Yanggang Age: 1 year 4 months (Born March 2024) Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Scheduled Breed: Jindo, shiba mix Colour: Brown, white Weight: 16.4kg / 36 lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hello there! I’m Yanggang — a brave little soul who’s already overcome quite a lot. I was found wandering the streets with my paw caught in a hunting trap, but thanks to the kindness of caring rescuers, I was saved just in time. Now, with a fresh start and a heart full of hope, I’m on the lookout for my forever family — someone who will love me, keep me safe, and help me blossom into the joyful companion I’m meant to be. Could that be you?   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete)  I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY My name comes from a traditional Korean sweet, and I think it suits me perfectly! I might be a little shy at first, but with some treats and a bit of time, I’ll quickly warm up to you. Volunteers and staff say I’m absolutely adorable—especially when I greet them at the shelter door, happily wiggling my little butt every time someone arrives. It’s my way of showing excitement and I guarantee you’ll fall in love with me right away.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: Don’t let my shyness fool you—I truly love people and enjoy getting attention and pets. I just need a little time to warm up at first. You could say I’m more of a friendly introvert than an extrovert. Once I trust you, I’ll happily show you my belly and even let you pick me up. I haven’t had much experience with kids yet, but I’m confident that with calm and respectful introductions, I’ll do great. When I warm up, I like to offer my paws as a little hello! I can get startled by sudden movements, so it’s best to approach me slowly and gently. Oh, and I don’t guard my food at all—I’m happy to share my space with people  With Dogs:  I love meeting new dog friends and get along well with dogs of all sizes. That said, if another dog gets a bit too rude or pushy, I’m not afraid to stand my ground—so it’s best to have supervision and slow introductions at first. I’m easygoing when it comes to sharing and don’t guard my food against other dogs.  With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES Moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring, but I’m just as happy to curl up and be a snuggle bug when I’m indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I seem to have some leash experience from my past, and it shows—I walk nicely and follow my handler’s lead quite well! I can get a little excited and pull now and then, but overall, I’m a great walking buddy. I feel more comfortable on quiet roads than in busy city areas with loud noises and traffic. I’m a calm and quiet pup who rarely barks, and I know how to settle peacefully in my kennel. I’m also potty trained and can go both indoors and outdoors, making me an easy-going companion all around.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A loving family who understands my shy nature and is ready to patiently and gently guide me as I grow into a confident, happy companion.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a little shy in the beginning, but underneath that layer, I’m full of love and goofiness! Volunteers and staff praise how calm, sweet, and well-mannered I am — they often say I carry the charm of a refined lady, with my gentle demeanor and quiet grace. I get along great with my dog friends and have even taken on the role of a patient nanny to playful puppies. Even when the younger pups get a little too energetic, I remain understanding and composed.
