My story

Taleia came to us from a home where there were simply too many animals for proper care and socialization. Because of that, she didn’t get the chance to learn how to truly be a dog. Everyday sights, sounds, and experiences are still new to her, and she’s learning to navigate the world one small step at a time. Despite her uncertainty, Taleia is incredibly sweet. She wants to trust, and with a patient and loving person by her side, she will blossom. Right now, she needs someone who can offer structure, reassurance, and the time to help build her confidence. Taleia would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can focus on bonding with her person without feeling overwhelmed. She isn’t ready for the chaos of a busy household but would thrive in a calm, stable environment with someone who understands that progress takes time. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Taleia may not be the dog who jumps into your arms on day one—but if you’re willing to go at her pace, the reward will be a deep and meaningful bond with a truly special dog.
