My story

Meet Molly! 🐾 Molly is a young adult cattle dog mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. She’s incredibly affectionate, always ready to shower you with kisses and snuggle up on the couch for some quality cuddle time. Molly has a playful side too—she enjoys toys and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. While she does have bursts of high energy, she also has her mellow moments and is more than happy being a couch potato by your side. This sweet girl is crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and can be left in her crate when you're out. She’s gentle with smaller dogs, not food or toy aggressive, and rarely barks. Molly knows her name and comes when called, and she's learning commands like “down”—especially helpful since she loves to jump up to show her love. Molly is still gaining confidence in the outside world and can be a little nervous around cars, bikes, and new noises. On leash, she doesn’t pull but may stop suddenly or walk in front of you. She’s beginning to show a bit of herding behavior, especially when she’s eager to head home. She’s nearly potty trained—she understands she should go outside but needs regular breaks, as her only signal is a bit of circling. With a little time, patience, and encouragement, Molly will thrive. Molly is a loyal, gentle soul looking for a loving family who will help her continue to blossom. If you’re looking for a snuggly, sweet, and devoted companion, Molly might just be your perfect match. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog.
