My story

Checkers is a young mixed-breed pup who came to us as a stray and quickly won hearts with his loving, playful personality. He was adopted once already and did wonderfully in his home, but his adopters discovered they were allergic to him and had to return him. In his previous home, Checkers showed great progress - he appeared to be house trained, and they had started crate training him. He doesn't enjoy being left alone for long, though, so he'd thrive in a home where someone is often around to keep him company. This sweet boy is playful, loves going on walks, and enjoys exploring the world around him. He's a quick learner and eager to please, so he'll catch on fast! Checkers can be a little shy when first meeting new people but warms up beautifully with some patience. He's not a fan of cats, but he makes up for it with endless love for his humans. At the end of the day, his favorite thing is cuddling up and soaking in affection. Checkers is ready to find his forever family - could it be you?
