My story

Hi, I’m Canelo! I’m an 11-month-old pup with a curious heart and a lot to learn. Life’s been a little unpredictable so far—I came into the shelter as a stray and was surrendered due to my family not having time for me. I’m still young and figuring things out, so I’m hoping for a fresh start with someone patient and understanding. I can be a little unsure when it comes to being handled, but I do enjoy gentle pets and affection on my own terms, though, especially once I feel safe. With the right training and positive guidance, I know I can learn better manners and build confidence. I’d do best as the only pet for now. A calm, adult-only home would help me thrive while I keep learning how to be my best self.If you`re experienced, patient, and ready to help a smart young dog grow, I’d love to meet you.
