My story

Villa is an incredibly sweet dog.  She is loving, loyal, calm, quiet, confident, and very cute.  Her daily highlights include cheerful walks, then she glides around the house as our shadow, but just to lay down for a snooze, play with a toy, cuddle next to us, or get some pets.  She is like a living zen garden or meditation ball, but with the sweetest face. Villa seems to be pre-trained in many ways too. She is a dream on the leash, quiet, independent, crate trained, and house broken!  Villa and her foster brother get along beautifully — like old friends from day one — they love to hang out together. Villa has been totally relaxed on walks around children, dogs, adults, trucks, bikes, sirens, deliveries, etc! Just an easy-peasy wonderful dog.  She would be an amazing addition to any home.* Truly!  *Unless you keep loose pigeons and squirrels in your house, that could be a problem.  Personality & Characteristics: My foster dog is good with: Everyone and everything so far!   Except little city critters like pigeons and squirrels. My foster dog is: wonderfully crate trained, potty trained, not destructive, polite around furniture, and she doesn’t nose around garbage, plants, or other mischief. 3 Keywords for your pup: Serene, Loving, and Unflappable. Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 2 Barker? Or Quiet Pup?:  So so quiet.  Walking Manners: Villa is amazing on the leash!  Even with her zig zagging foster  brother on walks, Villa walks like a cloud right by my side or politely in front with her brother.  The only caveat is her interest in rats… she is a little wild when she sees a rat, but I can still get her to move away. Appetite: Pretty normal.  Light in this heat.    Favorite Things: Walks, naps, leaning against her human, gazing lovingly at her human, getting pets, and seeing what her foster brother is up to.  Oh, and small city animals scurrying. Commands/Tricks:  I think she heels really well!  She also comes reliably.  ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea. ##2464361##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Villa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
