My story

Just look at that face! She`s just a little irresistible. This is Avery, a two year old friendly, animated girl. Avery is shy at first, but she definitely has a playful spirit behind the reserved first introductions. She is treat motivated and takes them softly. She already knows `Sit`, and with her love of treats she will likely enjoy more training and rewards. Avery came in as a stray so we don`t know her history. She is a big girl at 62lbs. She still needs a little work on how to use her happy energy in the best way - by not jumping for example. She has been scared of all the dogs and activity in dog play groups. Like all our adult dogs, Avery will need to meet future canine companions before going home. Our shelter staff will lead their introductions in a safe environment to see if they are compatible. At the main campus, you can bring your dog along when you come for adoptions if you like. Avery is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home!
