My story

Donkey is a 44 lb bundle of enthusiasm who`s still finding his footing in the shelter—but don`t let that fool you! This guy is full of love for people and will happily melt into your lap for snuggles once he feels comfortable. While toys aren`t really his thing, Donkey lights up when his human gets down to his level to play. He`s done great with handling and was polite during his food test. Donkey can be a little bouncy and vocal when meeting other dogs, so we recommend a meet-and-greet with any resident pups to make sure it’s a good fit. If you`re looking for a fun, affectionate dog to share adventures (and couch time) with, Donkey`s your guy!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
