Enzo - Hold

My story

Animal Profile:  He is a beautiful Golden Retriever/Poodle mix, about 2 years old and it around 68 pounds. Enzo was found as a stray in Tulsa and has lived in a foster home for about a month. His fosters have said that he is very friendly with people and has gotten along with both male and female dogs. (Check out his video!) With a doodle mix, grooming is necessary and he has handled being groomed well but does have a little bit of blow-dryer fear. We will share more about Enzo once he has settled in to his foster home in the Seattle area. Foster Update: Enzo is a calm, gentle boy and a pleasure to have around. He is amazing on leash and has a great heel without any specific training. He is friendly meeting new people and was great meeting our friend's 9 and 11 year old kids. He is a tall guy so can be a little intimidating, but he intuitively spent a little extra time giving the 9 year old a sweet snuggle and lean in to reassure her he was a friend. He is friendly with other dogs, but not particularly engaged with playing, and will express some dominant behavior when around other male dogs. He can be easily redirected from this and its certainly possible this will improve following his neuter next week. Enzo seems to be most connected to humans so he may do best as an only dog or with other neutral dogs in the home. He is initially not a huge fan of the crate and takes a little coaxing, but once he is in his crate he settles fairly quickly and is able to sleep through the night. Overall, Enzo is a sweet, old soul who likes a good walk and a hike but not likely to join you in training for your next marathon. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was taken in by our rescue partner in Oklahoma and is being transported via Furry Freight.
