ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Klara! She is a 5 year old, 10 pound chihuahua mix. She  truly embodies the phrase "good things come to those who wait." This sweet girl takes time, patience, and love to trust you, but once she does, she becomes the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for.  While Klara can be skittish around other people and dogs on walks, she absolutely loves her daily outings and has the most adorable way of prancing around. She's fully potty trained and crate trained, making the transition to your home smooth and easy.  What Klara wants most is simply to be near you – whether that's on the couch, in your arms, or just lying nearby on the floor. She doesn't ask for much except your presence and patience as she learns to open her heart.   Klara is dog selective and can be  territorial about her food and likes to be the center of your attention, so will need a slow introduction to other pets in the home.  She is also quite scared of men and will do best in a female only home.   If you're looking for a devoted companion who will treasure every moment by your side, Klara might be the perfect match for you.  She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.  Her adoption fee is $300.   All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies.
