Racine had her DNA tested, and the results revealed that she is 60 percent American Staffordshire Terrier, 22 percent German Shepherd, 15 percent American Pit Bull Terrier, and 3 percent Bulldog. This would explain her high energy level and intensity. She is very intelligent and would love the job of protecting your family and doing whatever you ask of her.She came into rescue when her previous family decided to euthanize her when she was nine months old instead of training. After getting her as a puppy, they did nothing to help her learn to be a good family member. Luckily, the vet they took her to realized she was not the problem and had a lot of potential. We sent her to training, and now she is ready to be part of a family where she can fully devote herself.Racine is good on a leash, loves going for rides, and has the energy to keep up with any activity her humans might enjoy. She gets along with other dogs and would do great having fur friends to play with. She is too much for cats and probably small dogs, although she does live with small dogs in her foster home, she is not unattended around them. She would do best in a home without small children for the same reason, just too high of an energy level, and theywould ramp each other up.She is house and crate trained, although she has a stay-at-home family, so she goes outside several times a day, and someone is always available to let her out. Racine is fully vetted, current on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Racine, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
