My story

Winny’s world turned upside down when she was left to roam the block until kind neighbors stepped in. Now safe at the shelter, she’s overwhelmed and unsure. Still, there’s a gentle, curious soul behind those cautious eyes. With a slow approach and a little patience, Winny warms up, takes treats gently, and allows handling. She’s dainty, sweet, and just beginning to show the playful pup her neighbors once knew. Winny is ready to learn what love and stability feel like. She just needs someone to show her the way. She was tense and head shy. Eventually warmed up and took treats, allowed handling needed for intake exam 07/19/2025 staff notes: Very nervous overwhelmed and confused. She was very skittish with me but did allow me to handle her with time. Needs a very slow approach. Neighbors stated she is very sweet and has high energy normally.
