My story

Nile is a playful orange tabby boy who is full of energy and charm. He’s your typical run-around kitten who loves being close to the action and hanging out with his favorite humans. Nile will happily follow you from room to room, determined not to miss a single moment of fun. There’s not a toy he’s met that he doesn’t love, and he’s a total sweetheart who adores belly rubs. Nile was born at Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) alongside his four siblings, on 4/21/2025. Nile gets along with other cats and kittens, always ready for a playmate or a snuggling buddy. While he’s a bit unsure about the dog in his foster home right now, he’s already showing signs that he could adjust well to living with a canine companion given time and proper introductions. All kittens must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with another young cat with which he or she can play and socialize. The majority of no-kill rescues nationwide adhere to this policy. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions, rather it ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development.
