Meet Berkley, a female with a slightly shy yet incredibly sweet personality that’s blossoming more each day. With a medium energy level, she’s the perfect companion for a family seeking a loving pup who thrives on patience and encouragement. Berkley is great with new people, happily greeting strangers with lots of tail wags on walks. She adores children who approach her calmly and respectfully, making her an ideal fit for a family with kids. She handles food removal well, showing no possessiveness, though her compatibility with dogs, cats, and other pets is still unknown, so introductions should be gradual and supervised. Her personality, marked by a touch of shyness, shines through as she gains confidence, especially outdoors where she loves relaxing and rolling in the grass. Potty training is okay but ongoing, with fewer nervous puppy piddle accidents as she progresses. Her leash skills are also okay, prancing beautifully when not overwhelmed, though she’s still building confidence in busier settings. Berkley’s sweetness makes her a joy to be around, especially when she’s soaking up chin scratches, napping, or snuggling with kids. She’s food motivated and well-behaved about going potty outside, showing her desire to please. The crate isn’t her favorite, but she accepts it for bedtime and meals, especially with a peanut butter Kong as a distraction. She’s steadily gaining trust with her humans and surroundings, needing only a patient, encouraging home to fully come out of her shell. Berkley should be supervised around outdoor animals like chickens or guinea pigs until her behavior with them is better understood.With her beautiful prance and love for a yard to relax in, Berkley is ready to thrive in a loving family home.
