My story

Meet Kevin – the Sweet, Golden-Lab Mix with a Big Heart and Soft Ears! Kevin is a 10-week-old golden Lab mix currently being fostered in Texas, and he’s already proving to be an all-star pup! With his soft coat, soulful eyes, and lovable personality, Kevin is the kind of puppy who melts hearts instantly. He’s doing really well with potty training—going outside to pee during the day with scheduled breaks every 2 to 2.5 hours. While he's still young and occasionally has a poo accident during the day, he’s making great progress. At night, Kevin sleeps in a crate, settling down after about 10 minutes of barking and sleeping peacefully for around 6 hours. Then it’s breakfast, outdoor time, and another cozy nap. Kevin has adapted beautifully to a routine and is thriving in a busy household with dogs, cats, and even chickens and goats! He’s shown curiosity toward everyone—without any aggression or barking. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes (even though they all outweigh him!), is respectful and curious around cats, and has no issues sharing space or food. This snuggly boy loves lap time, teething toys, and tug-of-war games. He’s starting to explore the kiddie pool and seems to enjoy it, too. Kevin is also working on leash training—he’s comfortable dragging one behind him but is still getting used to being led. He enjoys car rides either in a crate or a lap (though that lap might get a little full soon!). Kevin is treat-motivated, which will help with continued training. He’s beginning to respond to his name and whistle about 60–70% of the time and has shown no signs of food aggression. He’s a smart, gentle, and super sweet pup who will make a loving and loyal companion.
