Name:  Guppie        Best Guess for Breed:  Australian kelpie and terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of July 2025       SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  22.4 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Texas shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations:   In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- this dog would do better with another dog in the home to give him confidence.   See this cutie in his Texas shelter foster home! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/iU7jqk7ddoQ   Guppie is Looking For:  His forever home! Guppie is a young guy who has so much to see and do and he can't wait to do it by the side of his humans. Long sniffy walks, romps in parks, all those amazing adventures - yes, please! Shelter staff say he loves to run around and play - and he's a rarity in that he likes baths!   Most of all, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof - where he belongs. In exchange, he promises to put a smile on your face and to give you all the love and loyalty in his little body. What do you say? Is he the one you see by your side?What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once he has spent some time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
