My story

Tessie is a sweetheart who walks well and enjoys exploring her surroundings. She is not reactive to passing dogs. A certified super sniffer, Tessie takes her time to sniff every interesting scent along the way. Tessie already knows “sit,” is treat-motivated, and she appears to be housetrained—bonus! She would love a home that helps her continue to build confidence and feel safe.Tessie was a superstar at her recent adoption event! She was comfortable from the start, happily greeting everyone and showing off her affectionate and gentle personality. With soft tail wags and friendly sniffs, Tessie made fast friends with both kids and adults. She interacted politely with children of varying ages, welcoming their pets and treats with calm curiosity.Tessie remained her cool, calm, and collected self even around other dogs, cats, and bunnies at the event. She showed no reactivity, which meant she got to enjoy relaxing in the A/C with her human friends—a win for everyone! This sweet girl takes treats gently and showed off her `sit` like a pro. She also seemed housetrained, taking polite potty breaks away from the crowd. Tessie was an eager and easy car passenger, hopping right in and calmly enjoying the ride with her nose to the window. On leash, she walked nicely—only pulling a bit when something exciting caught her attention. Tessie’s wonderful event manners were just another reminder of what a special companion she’ll be. Tessie has also enjoyed some dog’s day out adventures with volunteers to go for walks in the park and enjoy a pup cup! She is always an affectionate, sweet and loving companion.Tessie recently enjoyed a Dog’s Day Out adventure, and her volunteer companion couldn’t say enough good things about her! This affectionate, observant, and confident gal wasted no time claiming her space—just minutes into the outing, she jumped into her walker’s lap and made herself right at home up front. They became fast friends from the start!She also proved to be a perfect patio companion, sitting calmly while her walkers enjoyed drinks at a waterfront café. Tessie happily accepted pets and compliments from passersby, winning hearts with her sweet personality. She showed how quickly she bonds, greeting each person with a wagging tail and excited (but welcome!) jumps when they returned from inside.She took treats gently, thoroughly enjoyed a pup cup, and carried herself with a mature, calm energy.
