Trooper

My story

This is Trooper!! He is a Shepherd/Akita mix. My dog scanner suggests may have some Belgian Shepherd also in the mix. He came in as a stray on 7/21 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. He weighs 46 lbs and is 2 yrs old. This delightful energetic fellow is friendly and seeks out attention. Though he doesn’t jump on you, he will put his paws on your shoulders to let you know he would so much like to be your new best friend and to please say `yes.` Trooper has an outgoing and confident personality. It would be his heart’s desire to have a secure and safe place to live with an abundance of TLC. He walks well on a leash and may very well be house trained. I found him to be a charming boy and highly adoptable. He enjoyed playing with toys. Trooper was so happy to be free of his kennel and investigated the other rooms of the shelter. He does have a thick coat and will need grooming and most definitely live indoors with his human companions.
