My story

**Meet Athena!** Athena is a beautiful, 4-year-old black lab mix with a shiny coat and soulful eyes. Weighing in at around 70 lbs, she's currently on a healthy meal plan and daily walk routine to help her shed some extra pounds—and she's doing great! Recently spayed, Athena is house trained, crate trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. She’s a gentle soul who absolutely *loves* her people and makes a loyal, affectionate companion. Athena has lived with other dogs before, but she prefers to be the queen of her castle. She has an alpha personality and would do best as either the only dog or with a compatible, respectful canine friend. Her favorite things? Playing fetch with her ball, collecting stuffed toys, and lounging near her humans.
