My story

• Name: Kibeom • Age: 2 years • Gender: Neutered Male • Breed: Jindo Mix • Color: Black & White • Weight: 7.5 kg Background Kibeom entered a city shelter in October 2024 and was rescued in February 2025. He spent some time in foster care before being adopted locally. Unfortunately, he was returned due to the adopter’s allergies and is now back in a loving foster home, waiting for his true forever family. Socialization with People Kibeom is affectionate and outgoing. He approaches not only familiar people but also strangers with ease, happily leaning in for pets and belly rubs. He loves being near people and often asks for attention with charming affection. He gets along well with men and children under 13. He is comfortable being picked up and handled, even showing his belly to new people. Socialization with Dogs While he politely greets other dogs, Kibeom prefers the company of humans over playing with other pups. He tends to get along better with dogs his size or smaller and is very tolerant—even when a young puppy pesters him, he responds with patience. High-energy dogs can overwhelm him, and if another dog acts aggressively, he simply walks away to avoid conflict. Cats He hasn’t been officially tested with cats, but based on his temperament, we suspect he would react neutrally. A cat test can be arranged upon request. Leash Manners Kibeom tends to pull a little on walks but is generally good at following his human. He is more interested in sniffing and exploring than speed walking, often stopping to investigate scents along the way. Home Behavior Kibeom shows no signs of food aggression toward people or dogs. He can be left alone for up to 9 hours without separation anxiety and rests quietly at home. He rarely barks—only twice so far, and only when noticing unfamiliar movement in the dark. Once he recognizes it’s someone he knows, he stops right away. The only exception is when he is placed in a kennel, which he dislikes—he tends to bark when confined. Otherwise, he is calm and well-mannered in the car and generally prefers to do his business outside. Kibeom is a gentle soul who thrives on human companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who will shower you with affection and quietly enjoy your company, Kibeom may be the perfect match. Send in your application through our website! Please also check out his post on Facebook or Instagram! Currently in foster care in South Korea, available for adoption in / ##2468002##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kibeom, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
