My story

Current Location: Richmond, VA Meet Perdita Perdita is a lovely and affectionate pup who has quickly made herself at home. At around 30 pounds, she brings the perfect balance of adventure and affection. She’s friendly with people and dogs alike and always ready to be part of the fun. Energy and Personality Perdita has a moderate energy level - playful, curious, and social without being overwhelming. She enjoys exploring, going on walks, playing with people or dogs, and being wherever the action is. She is sweet, goofy, and very loving with everyone she meets. Training and Behavior Perdita is doing very well with house training and has had no accidents in her foster home. She even alerts when she needs to go out at night. She’s picking up basic commands like “sit” and is eager to please. Though she enjoys cuddles and affection, she is also independent and likes to stay busy. Social Life She gets along beautifully with the resident dog in her foster home and would likely enjoy having another dog around. Perdita is also good with teenagers and would likely do well with younger children. She enjoys the company of people and thrives when included in daily life. Best Home Fit Perdita will do best in a home that can provide her with regular exercise and enrichment. A fenced yard or commitment to daily walks is ideal. She would love a home with another dog but would also be happy as a solo pup with an active family. Veterinary Care - Visited the veterinarian for a health certificate - Up to date on vaccinations for her age - Spayed - Microchipped - On heartworm preventative - On flea and tick preventative - Treated for worms and parasites
