My story

Meet Cocoa — A One-of-a-Kind Sweetheart with a Sideways Smile Cocoa is a gentle, loving girl who’s ready to find a cozy lap and a calm home to call her own. She is a 10-year-old, 10.8 pound Chihuahua mix. She’s house-trained with a consistent schedule, crate-trained, and loves nothing more than curling up in bed with her foster parents at night. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and would likely do just fine with kind, respectful children. While she hasn’t been officially tested with cats, she gives off an easygoing vibe that suggests she may do well with feline friends too. Cocoa may be a little shy in new situations, but she warms up quickly with love and patience. She only has one tooth, which gives her a signature tongue-out look that’s just as endearing as her personality—and don’t worry, she eats just fine! Her foster mom says: "Cocoa is a very sweet girl who would love nothing more than a lap to cuddle on and a person to hang with. She’s friendly, mellow, and would make the perfect companion for someone who enjoys leisurely walks and quiet time at home.” If you're looking for a loyal, snuggly sidekick with a heart full of love (and a tongue that just won't quit), Cocoa is your girl. Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
