My story

** $1,535 in pledges for the rescue that pulls ** **EXTENDED** Benson ACCT-A-209605 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to medical concerns. Benson must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER by Friday, December 27th at 10 A.M. Should Benson's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Benson is a community cat who was brought inside when his caretaker noticed that he was getting sick. Unfortunately, Benson has come down with a pretty substantial upper respiratory infection, and coupled with his FIV positive status, this puts him at an advanced risk to decline in the shelter. Benson is being timestamped in order to expedite his exit with a rescue that can provide him more specialized care than ACCT can provide at this time. Benson obviously isn't feeling his best, and while he let our medical staff know when enough examination was enough, he tolerated being given several meds, including sub-q fluids, and an anti-nausea injection that's known to sting. In his kennel, Benson is pretty nervous, and shy of handling, but we are hopeful that when Benson feels better, we will get to see his real personality.
