If you’ve ever wanted a husky, but in size small, you’ve found the perfect girl!!! Meet Natalie, the chill, low drama girly pop who is looking for a bestie to spend her days with. Natalie is the definition of low-maintenance love. With her calm spirit and quiet confidence, she’s just one of those dogs who seems completely content to simply be. All she needs is a lap to lay on and a treat to chew on and this girl is in puppy heaven. We believe that Natlie is a husky mix of some sort around 3 years old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. She is so petite and cute but rocks stunning ice blue eyes and what looks like the perfect eyeliner wings. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. She cruised around the room while a group of adults chatted on the couch, politely greeting each person without ever jumping or demanding attention. She carries herself with an easy grace, the kind that makes her feel like an old soul in a young dog’s body. Scratch behind her ears and speak to her in a baby voice, and you’ll unlock her softest smiles. She absolutely melts into the affection. She’s the kind of girl who would thrive as a solo pup, perfectly happy to share quiet moments and couch cuddles with her humans. But if there’s another dog in the home, she’d pair best with a calm, low to medium-energy companion who’s content simply coexisting. She lives with 8 other fooster dogs and is perfectly content lounging on the couch while watching the others play. During her visit with us, she joined the yard with several other dogs and had no interest in making a scene, she let the rowdy ones wrestle while she hung back, taking it all in with curious but peaceful eyes. When everyone else paused for a breather, she’d occasionally join in, but never in a way that disrupted the balance. Even when our oversized shepherd boy Rocky barreled straight up to her, Natalie stood her ground with poise, gave him a sniff, and strolled away like a queen. Her easygoing energy extends to her manners, too. Her foster says she has free roam of the house and doesn’t disturb a thing, and she’s quiet in her kennel, making her a great fit for both apartment and home life. Natalie hasn’t spent time with children, but we imagine she’d do just fine with dog-savvy older kids who understand she’s more of a cuddle buddy than a playmate. Her absolute favorite thing in the world? A good bully stick. Give her one, and she’ll be happily occupied for hours, perfectly content and at peace. Out and about, we believe she will be a joy to have along. She’s stunning, polite, and gives kisses like it’s her full-time job. When she cuddled up on the couch with our volunteers Lisa and Candy, she looked so happy to be loved, soaking up the affection with the gentlest smile. Natalie would do best in a cat-free home, she’s just a bit too curious about her feline friends. But when it comes to people, she’s all heart. With her calm energy, soft kisses, and peaceful presence, Natalie is ready to bring a little extra serenity and a whole lot of love into the life of whoever’s lucky enough to call her theirs. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there!
