Hi Everyone. Alice showed up at our doorstep at 2am on Mother’s Day, begging to come inside. At 4am, she gave birth to 4 sweet kittens and has been raising them under our care in our home. She is not feral or a street cat - she was healthy and clean when she turned up. We suspect she was turned out because of her impending pregnancy. Alice is an 11 month old, domestic shorthair, tortoiseshell cat. She is VERY sweet, very vocal (with a TINY whispery voice), happy to meet new people and has been a devoted mom! She allowed all our visitors to admire and hold her babies. We do not know how she’ll do with other pets. Her only exposure was to our senior cat and she went into “protective mama” mode and wanted my cat as far away as possible. Now that her mothering duties are ending, she seems very receptive to lap sitting and petting, and she’s becoming very playful! Alice is spayed and microchipped, and we have provided one full year of vet care (unlimited visits and exams, all vaccines, nail trims, and other minor services) for Alice at North Orange Veterinary Clinic in downtown Fallbrook, CA. Her written contract will be provided at adoption. So if you feel like you can be that caring and loving purrent, please reach out to Dirty Little Paws Rescue at Dirtylittlepaws@gmail.com or fill out my adoption questionnaire. I can hardly wait to be part of your life. Adoption questionnaire: http://tinyurl.com/DLPquestionnaire Dirty Little Paws is a non-profit rescue in Southern California. We rescue from kill shelters and from the street, manage feral colonies, and promote TNR (trap, neuter, release). We need your help! Please adopt a pet from a Rescue. If you can't adopt, please foster. If you can't foster, please donate. At Dirty Little Paws our mission is to save the lives of as many cats as possible. We respond to daily emergencies, fully vet each cat, release ferals back into their colonies, rehabilitate some, make sick cats well, hold adoption fairs, educate the public, and place a strong emphasis on sourcing donations through events & fundraisers so that this work may continue.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Alice, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
