My story

Meet Ruby.... A super sweet quiet girl... Ruby has had a rough start. She was a breeder mom in a Wisconsin puppy mill. Spending her first few years breeding pups for money. She was finally retired from that lifestyle after her last 2 litters yielded a few still born pups. When that happens, the mills tend to release the mom's to rescue claiming they are not making them money. Its a terrible cycle in these mills.. Ruby is a 4.5 year old Poodle mix. We think she looks little like a cockapoo. We would consider her to be low shedding. Some with allergies may still be affected by her breed mix, but we think she is very hypoallergenic. Ruby is amazing, she has been one of the best breeder moms we have taken in. Ruby is working on outdoor potty training, so a family will need to be patient with that. She loves affection, she sleeps with the kids at night and is very quiet. I dont think we have heard her bark yet.... Ruby will come sit on your lap, cuddle on the cough and she loves being pet. She can be skittish with alot of commotion, but that is common with dogs not exposed to much. Her fur is thick and soft, she was great with her 1st bath and she allowed us to trim her face hair and cut her nails. The foster family loves her. When she gets comfortable in a new home, she will be so awesome with everyone. We just need a family to give her a chance, she has been thru alot and deserves a better finish in life. Ruby is fine with other dogs and cats. She really could care less about them. She likes the company, and will probably get settled in quicker with another dog in the home to help her This is what rescue is all about... The puppies always get adopted. Now we need a family to step up for the adult... Ruby weighs around 15 pounds. She is on the taller side. Ruby is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on flea and tick prevention. We are hoping to get a spay appointment in before her adoption. If not, a spay contract will be signed and her adoption fee will be reduced. Being fostered in Butler NJ She uses a wee wee pad and the outdoors for potty training *** Send an Email to Onepawatatimerescue@gmail.com and request an application ** Thats the only way to get an application Adoption fee is $400 or reduced for spay contract ** We will offer a foster to adopt option as well We adopt in the Tri State Area ONLY NY, NJ, PA, CT, DE, NH, RI, MA, ME, DC, VT

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ruby, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
