My story

Meet Billy, a sweet and sensitive little Chihuahua mix with an estimated birthday of April 30, 2025. Weighing just 6.8 pounds, Billy is a gentle soul who’s still learning to feel comfortable in the world around him. He can be a bit shy at first and will need a patient family to help him build confidence at his own pace.  Because he’s easily startled, Bob could be a flight risk if he got loose, so extra caution will be important to keep him safe. Billy will thrive in a calm, quiet home with older children who can be gentle and respectful. He does especially well with another friendly dog in the home—having a canine companion helps him feel safe and encourages him to come out of his shell. He especially enjoys playing with his brother, Bob, and would love having a buddy to romp with. Like any young pup, Billy is still mastering the basics of life and will need continued guidance as he grows. He’s already made a good start by keeping his kennel clean and will look to his new family for love, patience, and training to help him become the best boy he can be. If you’re looking for a gentle-hearted pup who just needs a little time and a doggy friend to help him shine, Billy could be the perfect match. His adoption fee is $350  plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.  He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
