Meet Nala – Ready for Her Fresh Start Nala is a 3 ½ year old Black Mouth Cur/Basenji mix with a sweet personality and a gentle spirit. Her journey hasn’t been an easy one—found as a pregnant stray, she devoted herself to raising her puppies, and now it’s finally her turn to shine. This loving girl is looking for a foster home in the Central Texas area to help her through her heartworm treatment, which will be fully covered by the rescue. The foster will have the first opportunity to adopt her once she’s ready for her forever home. Nala is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and rides nicely in the car when kenneled. She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She thrives in a calm, structured environment and would do best in a home without children. While she is very sweet, Nala may resource guard her person, so she’ll need a foster who understands how to manage and respect her boundaries. With her soulful eyes and quiet charm, Nala is the kind of companion who will be devoted to her person once trust is built. She’s been through so much and deserves a safe, loving space to rest, recover, and learn what it’s like to be cherished.
