Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: -I am enrolled in Waifs with Wisdom. This is a program for dogs to learn basic commands and leash walking skills. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session-I am not house-trained. Can you teach me? -During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs-I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter! My home needs are: -Recommended no apartments or shared living spaces for me, please! New people and things make me a little nervous-Wayside requires bringing the whole family out to meet me before adoption - new people can make me a little nervous.Hi there, I’m Milo! I’m a happy, playful, affectionate pup who loves to have fun. It might take me an extra few moments to warm up to you when we first meet, but once we bond, you’ll see me blossom into a silly friend who simply wants to be by your side. I love life…it’s as simple as that for me. If you’re thinking about adding a sweet puppy to your life, I hope you’ll consider me. I would love to be your dog.I’m a darling, 7-month-old, 32-pound American Foxhound mix, with soft puppy fur, the cutest expressive face, and an exuberant, spunky, delightful personality. I’ve been working on my housebreaking skills and making lots of progress. I keep my kennel area at Wayside clean, too, and I even have experience with crate training. Still, please be patient with me in all regards, as an adjustment period in a new home is normal, especially for a pup who has been through so much change and instability. My young life hasn’t been easy. My family life was difficult, and they were no longer able to care for me. The big shelter feels scary and lonely, too, so I hope I don’t have to stay here for long. A homeless shelter is a stressful place for an active, young dog like me.My previous owner shared that I did well with the people, including kids, that I lived with, as well as other dogs, cats, and birds. I had a playful energy, but I was always ready for cuddle time after my play. I was curious and friendly with everyone. I sometimes barked at strangers until I had time to grow comfortable and trusting with them. Overall, I was just a really nice companion. Here at Wayside, many of the staff and volunteers have quickly fallen in love with my silly antics and love of life. It makes me happy when people smile. I love to run around carrying my favorite stuffy toys and playin
