My story

Please give a round of a-paws for Rocco, the young Husky who’s bringing floppy energy, fabulous ear floofs, and a whole lot of personality to the adoption scene! Rocco is the epitome of “big dog, bigger goof.” With adorably fluffy tufts of fur behind his ears that look like he styled them himself (with a leaf blower), he’s impossible not to smile at. He’s got that perfect mix of “rugged explorer” and “awkward lap crasher.” One minute he’s trotting around the yard like he’s on a solo mission from the Husky Secret Service, and the next minute, boom! He’s in your lap like a 50-pound throw pillow with legs.While Rocco values his independence, he’s also a big fan of love - on his terms, of course. When the moment strikes, he’ll lean in for pets and make you feel like the chosen one. (Don’t let it go to your head. He still runs the show.) Got a tennis ball? Congratulations, you’ve just unlocked Rocco Mode™. He LOVES to play fetch, and would thrive with an active family that’s ready to keep up with his zoomies, games, and general zest for life. He’s still working on the whole “sharing is caring” thing when it comes to snacks and treats, so we recommend that any children in his new home are age 10 or older so they can understand his boundaries. He’s also a little particular about his canine company, so if you’ve already got a pup at home, we’ll need to do a slow meet-and-greet at the shelter to see if Rocco thinks they’re cool enough to hang.
